The Abu Dhabi Family Business Council has signed an agreement with Campden Wealth to host the Global Owners and Family Office Congress in Abu Dhabi for three consecutive years, 2026 through 2028. Under the deal, the emirate is the event's exclusive host for that period, and the signing took place during Abu Dhabi Finance Week, according to Campden's announcement.
Campden says the congress will convene leaders representing more than 350 ultra-high net worth individuals and their family offices from around the world. His Excellency Khaled Al Fahim, chairman of the council and a board member of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, signed the agreement with Dominic Samuelson, Campden's chief executive; the council is an affiliate of the Abu Dhabi Chamber.
Abu Dhabi will also organize an executive workshop during the congress on family business governance, wealth management and generational transition. Al Fahim said hosting "a global congress of this scale in Abu Dhabi reflects the high level of confidence that the international business community places in the emirate as a leading centre for investment and wealth management," and called the partnership "a strategic step in reinforcing Abu Dhabi's position as a preferred destination for ultra-high net worth family enterprises."
The release attributes to Campden Wealth reports the claim that the Gulf has become one of the world's most attractive destinations for high-net-worth families. Campden published a Benelux family office study this month and an RBC co-branded report on private equity and AI expectations. The three-year exclusive term gives Abu Dhabi a recurring slot on Campden's congress calendar rather than a one-off sponsorship.
