The transaction covered 91,723,676 ordinary shares of one euro nominal value. The agreement was signed 14 August 2026, approved by Portugal's Court of Auditors on 31 August and settled 7 September, taking Pontegadea from 13.7% to zero, according to a REN/CMVM filing dated 8 September cited by Family Office Hub.
Neither party published a price; Portuguese press reports put it near 380 million euros, Family Office Hub said.
REN runs Portugal's very-high-voltage electricity and natural gas transmission networks, the country's LNG terminal and underground storage, and holds international stakes including Transemel, Electrogas and Cahora Bassa. The disposal ends a five-year position for Pontegadea, the investment holding of Inditex founder Amancio Ortega.
