Northern Trust adds two to New York family office solutions team

Northern Trust Wealth Management is expanding its Family Office Solutions team in New York, it said on Sept. 28, 2026.

Robert Ludricks III joins as managing director for the Northeast region and Olof Akesson as investment director. Ludricks has more than 35 years advising clients on investment management, wealth planning and fiduciary matters. He was most recently a managing director and senior relationship manager at Brown Brothers Harriman, after nearly two decades at Bessemer Trust in senior advisory roles.

Akesson's background spans more than 20 years in private markets, investment banking and client relationship management. He spent the past decade advising single family offices, most recently as a managing director at KABR Group and earlier at Benefit Street Partners.

Northeast Region President Katie Nixon said the two bring complementary experience to advising entrepreneurs, business owners and multigenerational families in the region. The team coordinates investment strategy, fiduciary oversight, reporting, philanthropic advisory and family governance. Northern Trust Wealth Management reported US$534 billion in assets under management as of June 30, 2026.
