Moratti, Elkann and Berlusconi vehicles join Iusful's €2m pre-seed
United Ventures and the Italian Founders Fund led the Milan round; none of the four family vehicles publishes a portfolio.
Iusful, a Milan legaltech company, has raised €2 million in a pre-seed led by United Ventures and the Italian Founders Fund, with Alecla7, Vento di Exor, Vesper Holding and Ithaca Investments among the investors. The four vehicles are tied to the Moratti, Agnelli-Elkann, Mondini and Berlusconi families; none publishes a portfolio, so their presence is known only because Iusful has named them. BeBeez first reported the raise on September 17, and Family Office Hub, which runs a database of European single-family offices, published its account on September 22.
The company operates as FRM Layer S.r.l. from Via Giosuè Carducci in Milan, and its product pairs a software platform with a vetted network of Italian lawyers, offering continuous legal cover across more than fifty topics grouped into six areas: data and privacy, corporate, employment, contracts, intellectual property, and technology, AI and cyber. Subscriptions start at €250 a month, with quotes on single matters returned within 48 hours; Iusful reports a 4.8-out-of-5 customer satisfaction score, SOC 2 Type 2 certification and data hosted inside the European Union.
Roberto Marazzini, Michele Papagni and Federica Pulcino founded the business; Marazzini and Papagni previously built and sold the education company Boolean. The stated target for the next twelve months is 1,000 clients and more than thirty additional staff.
Four vehicles, no published portfolios
The four vehicles describe how different strands of Italian family capital organise their venture activity. Alecla7, operating as Alecla Srl from Corso Venezia in Milan, calls itself a private investment firm doing direct venture capital that is agnostic to sector, stage and geography and concentrated on pre-seed through Series A; it is tied to the Moratti family, known for the refining group Saras and Internazionale Milano. Vento, the venture programme of Exor, the listed holding company of the Agnelli and Elkann family, invests at the earliest stages in Italian founders; Vesper Holding is the Mondini family's vehicle, and Ithaca Investments belongs to the Berlusconi family, whose interests centre on MFE-MediaForEurope and Fininvest.
Family Office Hub reads the convergence of four vehicles of this standing on a pre-seed this small as a sign of how concentrated early-stage Italian capital remains—an outlet's characterisation rather than a conclusion the round itself establishes. The mechanics still fit: a €2 million raise with two institutional leads and four family vehicles attached leaves little room for anyone else on the register.
For the next year, the 1,000-client and thirty-plus-hire targets will show up only in Iusful's own reporting.
