Cresset announced on Oct. 8 that Joe Zidle has joined the firm as executive managing director and chief market strategist, according to a PR Newswire release.
In the role, Zidle will work with Cresset's investment and advisory teams on the firm's market and investment perspectives across macroeconomics, asset allocation, public markets and private markets, and with the firm's institutional clients, including foundations and endowments, on the current macro environment.

The release describes Cresset as an independent, client- and employee-owned multi-family office serving ultra-high-net-worth families, business owners and entrepreneurs.

Zidle was senior managing director and chief investment strategist at Blackstone Private Wealth for nearly eight years. The release says that after his Blackstone tenure he founded Zidle Macro Strategy Group, an independent research and investment strategy firm. Earlier roles include portfolio strategist at Richard Bernstein Advisors, where the release says he covered portfolio strategy, asset allocation and relationships with wealth management firms and independent registered investment advisers, and nearly a decade at Bank of America Merrill Lynch in senior research and investment strategy positions. Those included head of investment strategy for global wealth management and deputy director of the research investment committee, per the release, which says his career spans more than three decades.
